Islam: a Purification drive but not an entangle

img_article We are all sent to this world, not to indulge in worldly matters. The first man Adam is created out of soil, and all we are children of Adam (May Allah Mercy upon him) the very first Messenger of Allah the most high and the father of human beings. The realization of this relates one to Allah. Allah created humans to serve him, which is inherent in his/ her very nature. Allah says: 'I created Jinn and Men only to worship Me' (Qur'an 51:56).
Being born in this world, we turn our ears naturally, to the whispers of the world with more prominence, not the commands of Allah. That is why we often hear that 'I cannot comply with Islamic regulations.' This is nothing but an irresponsible effort to evade out of one's obligations.

Allah says: 'We do not impose on any one more than he can stand with. With us there is a book that speaks the truth. So they will not be wrongly behaved. However, their hearts are overwhelmed by ignorance about this matter, and they have their own things, they do it well (Qur'an 23: 62-63).

After being made aware of this truth, people still are not ready to cope with the religious circumstances. It means that they are inextricable from the popular misunderstanding of Islam, which is mixed with superstition and myths. So to say what is not Islam, is more relevant than to convince what Islam is. Because Islam is misunderstood to that extend. In fact, Islam gives little prominence to hearsay or any of the senseless codes that make up the foundation of popular religion. Allah says: 'He hath chosen you and hath not laid upon you n religion any hardship (Qur'an 22:78). Again Qur'an says in another place: 'those who follow the messenger, who can neither read nor write, whom they will find described in the Torah and the Gospel (which are) with them. He will enjoy on them that is right and forbid them that is wrong. He will make lawful for them all good things and prohibit them only the foul; and he will relieve them of their burden and the fetters that they used to wear. Then those who believe in him, and honour him and help him, and follow the right which is sent down with him: they are the successful (Qur'an 7:157).

Therefore, it is entirely meaningless to say, 'I have no interest with living by Islam.' Of such people Qur'an says: 'those with a sickness in their hearts make up such excuses to evade the ordeals that believers sometimes undergo. But (as for) those who believe and do good works we tax not any soul beyond its scope. Such are rightful owners of the Garden. They abide therein. So evade not from your duty; worship Allah. He is almighty and protector.
