Prophet Mohammad (PBH) as a general (PBUH)
|

|
War is not a remedy for anything, but some times it becomes. Islam also fought for resistance. These wars were lead by the Prophet (PBH). At certain occasion, he fought directly too. There are some who see the wars conducted by the Prophet (PBH) as injustice. They are hostile to Islam. They are searching for chances to criticize. Muslims need not pay attention to it.
In the Prophet (PBH) we can see both a tactful fighter and a general. He could avoid some war through his strategic movements. Because of intellectual movements, he could easily find success. In the 'Khandaq' the Prophet (PBH)'s tactics become ostentatious. He had understood that he could not succeed by military power. At last, they came to a resolution that to dig a trench for resistance. Behind the trench they could stop the enemies. |

The tactics met with success. The enemies failed and returned. It was a united alliance came to fight against the Prophet (PBH). But the military power became nothing before the incomparable strategy of the Prophet (PBH).
The history of 'Uhdh' battle is famous. To retaliate for the bitter defeat in the battle of Battle of 'Badr', the enemies reached 'Uhdh'. It was a war of uncertainty, the war we are used to say such as 'decisive victory'. The Prophet (PBH) conducted the military arrangements slowly. In a strategically important mountain pace, he stopped some of the soldiers. He suggested them that if succeeded or defeated in the war they should not come down from that mountain peak. They won the war. Enemies fled, many fell down. Armaments and wealth at abundance, Muslim soldiers began to collect them all. Those who stood in the mountain pass rejoiced. The war became victorious. It was time to come down, they thought. Most of them forgot the Prophet (PBH)'s suggestion. By the fervor of the victory they came down from the mountain. Enemies detected this out. The fleers attacked through the mountain pass. In the unexpected leading of enemies, Muslim soldiers embarrassed. Many of them were killed or ran into all direction. But within moments, the Prophet (PBH) equipped his soldiers again. In the second stage of the battle, Muslims got the ultimate victory on the enemies themselves.
The battle of 'Ahzab' was a battle won only by tactics. As a vast united alliance against Islam the enemies arrived there. The Quraish of Makkah Mukarrama and the Jews of Madeena Munawwara made a part against the Prophet (PBH). Outside and inside of the border the enemies were active. The agreement of non-war made between the Prophet (PBH) and the Jews of Madeena Munawwara was blown out into air. They calculated they could go ahead victoriously with the help of Quraish. Having delegated a spy into the enemy the Prophet (PBH) spoiled this front. Prophet (PBH) once said that the war itself is a tactics. Often the victory through the tactics helped to avoid bloodshed.
Nuaim, a Jew, approaching the Prophet (PBH), said: "I have became a Muslim, my conversion is not known to people. Therefore (please) tell me what to do". The Prophet (PBH) asked him to go to the enemy headquarter and to ruin their organized power. Firstly he approached 'Banu-Quraidha', who were Jews. He said them that Quraish had reached the other side of the border line. They were there to fight with the Prophet (PBH); they, the inhabitant of Makkah, were not like you (Jewish). If they were defeated or succeeded that will make nothing to lose them. It was our country that is going to be destroyed. They will go back to the Makkah. Therefore, you shouldn't be ready for war unless they gave some of their leaders as security. The opinion was received to the letter.
Secondly, Nuaim approached Quraish and said to their then leader Abu Sufyan that "Jewish were in despair due to the treaty between you. Approaching the Prophet (PBH) they had informed that they would give some Quraish leaders' heads to him. Moreover they have assured to Muhammad (PBH) to stand unfavorable to Quraish". He repeated the same to 'Ghathfan' tribes. Both these sects dispatched messengers to 'Banu-Quraida'. Our vehicles are beginning to ruin. The war with Muhammad (PBH) is to start immediately. The Jews of Madeena responded: "today is Saturday, in which the war is prohibited to us. If he wants to fight, the trustworthy leaders of Quraish should be given to us as security. They should be under our control until we drive away Muhammad (PBH). Because, when the war was at its climax, you are possible to withdraw. With that Muhammad (PBH) will root out us". The trick of Nuaim fruited. The enemy soldiers became disorganized with it and quarrel began in the enemy camp. At last despicably and contemptibly they returned tasting the bitterness of defeat. Here the base of victory is the tactics.
To split the enemy has ever accepted as tactics but, be more careful about it may be used against the truthful organization like Islam
