Associating with injustice

  img_article
Many a group of people who have lost their faith in Allah and doomsday always associate with injustice. Those who have been bewitched by the advanced facilities of this momentary world also do the same. But it is quite strange that all kinds of people even scholars make their maximum attempt to justify a known injustice. Nowadays social leaders and wealthy people are not at all hesitant to deal with any kind of violence or malpractice and to wash them with justification.
There are some other kinds of people who tend to think that other people must follow their ideas and concepts blindly. They think of them as sycophants. They try their best to establish some set of impolite rules as no one from the society should object their unfair and worse activities.

Those who go to oppose them would probably be tortured by them. These people are compelled to follow what ever their masters do because they might have experienced harassment just because they haven't followed them! While one group of people goes ahead with all sorts of heinousness, the other group gets along with them and indulges with immoral activities.

The Holy Qur'an says about a Jew scholar who was justifying the illogical idolatry and abusing the Muslims only to satisfy the enemies. “Have you not seen those who were given a portion of the Scripture? They believe in Jibth and Taghut (in idols and Satan) and say to the unbelievers that they are better guided as regards the way than the believers (Muslims). They are those whom Allah has cursed, and one whom Allah curses, you will not find for him (any) helper. (Ŝurat An- Nisa: 51- 52)

The polytheists (unbelievers) in Mecca asked the Jew scholar Ka'abu bin Ashraf: “You are well literate to read more scripts and as far as we are concerned you have much knowledge about these. So which group, whether Muhammad's or our group, is in the righteous path? Then he replied, surely you are in the right path" (Thafseer Swawi). The foregoing verse of Holy Qur'an denotes this discussion between polytheists and Jewish scholar and the troubles he got in to because of his utterance. Through this verse the Holy Qur'an warns those people who justify the activities of leaders and rich people irrespective of whether they are bad or harmful to themselves.

Let's go through some thought-provoking lines written by an Arabic poet. 1) “The more a person earns silver coins (cash) the more communicative he becomes. 2) And therefore while he overtakes his contemporaries he becomes more attractive to the public and he enjoys a better life. 3) He could have had a bad life unless he earned the silver coins. 4) When rich person tells some thing false some people admit to it and even if he tells an impossible matter they agree its possibility. 5) Even if a poor person tells truth they consider it false" [ Jawahirul Adab.]

What the Arabic poet pointed out is really apparent from our day - to - day life. The true characteristic of a believer is to be energetic to react against injustice and immoral activities without any prejudice against immoral people. The true believer must retaliate against the harmful activities of bad people and therefore he must be happy to face any risk arising out of his retaliation. It is not at all possible to go to heaven without much efforts and bearing the risks thereof in this world. The Holy Quran says: “Or you think that you will enter Paradise without such (trials) as came to those who passed away before you? They were afflicted with severe poverty and ailments and were so shaken that even the Messenger and those who believed along with him said, (when they felt that they can not afford the punishment, they told) "When (will come) the Help of Allah?" (Then they were consoled with the answer) Yes! Certainly, the Help of Allah is near!" (Al- Baqara- 214)

The holy Qur'an again reminds Muslims about their responsibilities. “Do people think that they will be left alone because they say: "We believe," and will not be tested. And We indeed tested those who were before them and Allah will certainly make (it) known (the truth of) those who are true, and will certainly make (it) known (the falsehood of) those who are liars, (although Allah knows all that before putting them to test)." (Surat Ankabooth: 2-3).
“Cursed were the people of the ditch (the story of the Boy and the King), fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, When they sat by it (fire), and they witnessed what they were doing against the believers (ie burning them), they had nothing against them, except that they believed in Allah, the All-Mighty, Worthy of all Praise!" (Surat Al Burooj: 4-9).

The Holy Qur'an praises the cave people (known as As-habul Kahf) for their courage to speak out against the cruel emperor who brought about the violence among the public. “We narrate unto you (O Muhammad SAW) their story with truth: Truly! They were young men who believed in their Lord (Allah), and We increased them in guidance. And We made their hearts firm and strong (with the light of Faith in Allah and bestowed upon them patience to bear the separation of their kith and kin and dwellings, etc) when they stood up and said: "Our Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, never shall we call upon any ilah (god) other than Him; if we did, we should indeed have uttered an enormity in disbelief" ( Surat Al Kahf: 13-14).

Prophet Muhammad (S) says: to tell the truth in front of a cruel emperor is the great Jihad (the war for the sake of Allah).
