Question 8
When 'thawarruk' style of sitting is recommended in the prayer?
Answer
It is voluntary act of worship to sit in the tawarruk style after the last rak`ah of all prayers (obligatory or supererogatory). Sheikh Zainuddin Makhdum (May Allah Mercy upon him) states in his famous book 'Fathhul Mu'een` that it is recommended to sit in the first tashahhud in the ifthirash style, and in the second tashahhud(last thashddhud) the tawarruk style. Even if it is a prayer with two rak`ahs, one should ends with tawarruk style.
