Simple Theories and Facts
  img_article

Islam is the religion of nature and the fragrance of life.  Its doctrines and laws are adequate to encompass the differences of continent, climate and the distance between the generations.  Thought, science, art and literature all are the part of Islam.  Its doctrines are very simple.  The laws, which aim at the victory of two worlds of mankind, see the existence and improvement of whole people.  Islam is not something that confines only in few documents of faith or some deeds. It is an ism which is comprehensive and complete. It is a system of peerless laws, equipments for administration, simple and practicable laws of worship, and the rules for personality refinement. It is also a system of brotherhood and humanity where there is no chance of social discrimination. Islam is the divine philosophy that can grow up to the universe and can survive the time.

Instead of being a disgraceful and ignoramus person or being a stupid to stoop in front of imaginary pictures or manmade statues; Islam always teaches men to reach at the high positions, and to see man as the noble creation.

It is mental purification that man acquires through Islam. In order to prepare man to move through right and straight path, mind should be free from all kinds of bad qualities such as polytheism (shirk), arrogance, envy, greed etc. The quest for good deeds, the capacity to respect others and to love others sincerely may be placed only in a purified mind.

To respect other's rights, to accompany in their pain; to express love and affection, to try for the sake of others and such characters can be seen in one who has an unblemished mind. Man attains the perfection of humanity through the purification of character. Quran praises the noble character. Characterizing the prophet Quran said, "I gave message to do good to them" (73/21).

Quran said praising the prophet, "indeed, thou are on the noble quality of character" (4/68). The prophet mentioned the good nature as the perfection of faith. The perfect believer is one who marvels at good nature. Islam itself is a good character. The prophet(PBH)said that the appointment of the prophet itself was for the perfection of good nature. Safe and secure society, reasonable laws, and in all other sects of the society the rules are to be strictly obeyed. There is no discrimination. Nobody has any nobility on the name of caste, tribe, place, language and color.

Violence, injustice, slander, defamation, treachery, bribe, sycophancy etc are some bad qualities that are strictly prohibited by Islam.

Truthfulness, fidelity, sincerity, justice, kind, forgiveness, respect for others, suffering one's difficulties, helping others, wishing good to all are the most important human behaviors and that are always encouraged by Islam.

Islam didn't take more time to change a society who cut throat on the name of false prestige and society and even who had been quarrelling each other on the name of race, caste, and color during the Dark Age before 14 centuries. Islam transformed them into good human unparalleled in the History of any other religion. When one embraces Islam, he turns himself to be a cultured and educated one.

Sin and Virtue

Men are born to this world without any stain of sin. Islam rejects the theory that man is born innately sinful. All the new infants are sinless. The prophet Muhammad (PBH)declared, 'all infants are born with stainless nature. And then it is his parents who make his child Jewish or Christian or the sun worshiper'.

Circumstances decide the destiny of the child. It is his parents and the situations where he grew up that make him good or bad. The child's heart is unblemished; it is very pure and blank like a white paper. Any color and size of picture can be drawn in such a blank paper. That is why Islam instructs all Muslims that the first sound which a child hears should be the name of Allah. Immediately after the birth Islam insisted to call 'azan' (prayer call) in the ears of the child. Then, the child should be brought up in a circumstance that never deteriorates his heart. The child should be given the attention adequate to be in the godly thoughts and love for the fellow beings. In relation to this subject, there are complete legal instructions in Islam.

With the accomplishment of maturity one bounds to adhere the religious instructions. From 15th years onwards, one is considered to be matured. A girl, when she attains her first menstruation is also considered to be matured. Hence each individual is liable to accept discipline and strong faith in righteousness in one's life; acquiring maximum knowledge, and to live as a good man.

Discriminating between good and bad, one should accept good and discard bad. The prophet Muhammad (PBH)came to differentiate between these two. Hence it is the duty of the individual to select his way. One, who does good will get blessed both in here and hereafter worlds. And one, who commits evil, will get punishment. Whoever does good equal to the weight of an atom will get the reward of it. And whoever commits evil will get the reward of it.

Here nobody bears the burden of sin for others. Man has neither right to forgive sins nor ability to do so. The right for that is reserved to Allah only. In between Allah and men there are priests, saints, middle class people who can forgive the sin but only with the power hat Allah has bestowed up on them. Prophets, pandits, and ordinary people also are the slaves of Allah. Each gets the reward of his work. One doesn't carry others' burden - (Quran).

Repentance is the way that Islam suggests for salvation. To repent to Allah of all the evil doings, with absolute abstention is termed to be 'Thoubah'. The prayer derived from the inmost of the grieving heart, and the plea for forgiving will be definitely accepted by Allah. Allah will forgive all sins other than polytheism (shirk) - [Quran].

Redemption is simple. That has no particular courtesy or frame work. Departing from evil, take an oath not to do evil again and seek forgiveness for the evils committed. Anybody can do it at any time. Allah will accept the persistent plea. Allah is the acceptor of repentance and merciful.
